Line -up for the 2025 Can Film Festival was unveiled on Thursday morning, and that includes a mixture Familiar names from competition Some relatives with newcomers.
Overall, 19 films were announced in the 78th edition of the festival, though often the festival organizers include one or two additional titles before the start of the ceremony in May.
Competitive films include new titles for directors Wes Anderson, Richard Link Letter, Kelly Reachardt and Ester. Six films in the lineup are directed by women, one of the seven set records two years ago was shy.

Cruz was awarded a Honorary Palm DR when his film “Top Gun: Maurk” was screened at this year’s Cannes Festival in 2022.
The organizers also announced that actor Robert D. Nero will be awarded the honorary Palm DR during the inauguration ceremony.
This year’s festival continues from May 13 to 24.
