Cricket will return to the Olympic stage for the first time since 1900, with Los Angeles 2028 sports organizers confirmed.
The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games will mark the return to the Olympics of Cricket after the absence of 128 years. Tuesday’s announcement confirmed that matches will be held in Pomona, before speculations will be resolved that the game can be removed at a distance of New York.
The tournament will follow the Twenty20 format of six teams for both men and women.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) had earlier confirmed the involvement of cricket, in which its global appeal was estimated at the foundation of about 2.5 billion fans.
