Quetta Gladiators spinner Usman Tariq has been informed about a suspected bowling action during the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Lahore Qalandars.
The umpires Ahsan Raza and Chris Brown flagged concerns about Tariq’s bowling technique during the reality, and presented an official report to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Despite this development, the PCB has made it clear that Tariq is capable of continuing bowling in the coming matches. However, the board issued a warning that if its proceedings were re -reported, it would be suspended from bowling unless it received clearance from the International Cricket Council (ICC) Bio -Mechanics Laboratory.
This process follows a standard protocol for players reported for potentially illegal bowling measures in professional cricket competitions. The PCB’s approach allows players to address technical concerns while maintaining their competitive participation, provided no other report is filed.
Cricket rules need to maintain legal bowling measures that comply with specific bio -mechanical standards. The ICC testing method estimates whether the bowler’s arm is straightened or not more than the allowance allowed during delivery.
The Quetta Gladiators Management has not yet issued a statement about the action or any treatment of his spinner.
