The President of the US Soccer Federation, Cindy Parlo, was elected to the FIFA Council on Saturday, as a representative from Konkak as a North American representative.
The election took place in the 40th general Congress in Konkak, which was held in Cape State in St. Lucia. The Parlo Content Mexico Football Federation’s Yun D Lewisa fled, and was voted by verification.
Konkak has five slots in the 37 -member FIFA Council, which is the basic FIFA decision -making organization outside FIFA’s wider Congress. A position has been taken by the President of Konkak – which is currently filled by Victor Montglani of Canada. An additional slot has been nominated for a female representative.
In addition to the Parlo cone, Randy Harris of Barbados was also selected to fill the Caribbean slot, while Sonia Foolford of Turkish & Cakeos Island was re -elected female representative. Rudolpho Villobos is currently organizing the Central American Region Slot at the FIFA Council.
The United States, along with Canada and Mexico, hosted the 2026 World Cup co -host, as well as Mexico for the host rights of the 2031 Women’s World Cup, as the FIFA council seat is considered important in representing the interests of the USSF.
The United States has been without representation in the FIFA Council since 2021, when former USSF president Sunil Giliti expired.
The Parlo Certificate did not re -election as a North American representative for the post of Konakak Council. It paved the way for Liga MX President Michael Eriola to run unopposed, but Parlo will remain in Konkak Council as a voting member.
Other places in the Concourse Council were filled with Belse’s Sergio Chowk for the Central American region, while Morris Victor was re -elected to represent the Caribbean region.
The Member Association of Konkak also reviewed and approved the Confederation’s budget for 2025.
