Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman arrived in Tehran on Thursday to meet with officials on the occasion of a weekend between Iran and the United States on the nuclear program of Iran and the United States.
The Defense Minister on Thursday conveyed a message to Iranian King Salman bin Abdul Alzhez to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s state media without giving further details about the contents of the message.
Iran and the United States are ready to hold second rounds in Rome about Tehran’s controversial uranium enrichment program this weekend.
“Our belief is that relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia are beneficial for both countries.” Khamenei expressed its preparations for Tehran to overcome the obstacles to improving relations with Riyadh.
Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed in a 2023 deal that was designed to re -establish relations after years of enmity by China, which threatened stability and security in the Gulf and helped fuel the Middle East from Yemen to Syria.
Saudi Arabia welcomed Iran’s nuclear talks, supporting efforts to resolve regional and international conflicts, in a statement published by the country’s state -run news agency on Saturday.
According to Iranian state media, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Mohammad Baghri, said after meeting with the Saudi Minister in Tehran, “Since the Beijing Treaty, relations between Saudi and Iranian Armed Forces have been improving.”
