At least six people were injured in a possible shooter situation at Florida State University (FSU). University police said they were responding to an “active scene” on the Tallalahi campus and working to “control it”. The FSU wrote on the X that an active shooter has been reported in the Student Union and directed the people on the campus to shelter.
A senior Florida law enforcement source told Fox News that at least one person was detained, but could not confirm whether the individual was a shooter. In addition, the FBI’s Jackson Wheel Field Office and the office of the Tallalahi residential agency are present at the scene.
“My team and my team are monitoring reports of an active shooter on the FSU campus. It is too early to understand the limit of violence, but the initial reports are very disturbing,” rap. The FSU has canceled all classes during Friday, saying that pitiful events in Talasi were canceled in the weekend.
President Donald Trump has been briefed about the situation and made a brief comment in the Oval Office. “It’s terrible that such things happen,” he said.
Attorney General Palm Bondi wrote, “(FBI) is on the Florida state scene and we are talking to agents on the ground. Our priority is the protection of everyone involved. We will learn more. We will continue to refresh while praying for everyone.”
FBI director Kashi Patel said he had been briefed on the situation, and FBI deputy director Dan Bongino confirmed that the bureau was present at the FSU.
Bongino wrote in a post on X, “The FBI is on the scene of the FFSU. I am returning from my LA office to DC but we are getting updated about the plane situation. We will get you more information.”

The Tallalahi Memorial Health Care (TMH) sent a statement to Fox News on the situation, saying he had received “patients related to an incident” in the FSU. However, TMH did not provide any information about how many patients or treatment were provided in citing patients’ confidential concerns.
“At present, the details are still coming out, and we still do not have specific information. However, we want to assure this community that our teams are fully dynamic and are ready to provide high -level care and support to all the affected people. We are closely in harmony with emergency respondents and public safety officials.”
