- “Pakistan will not travel to India,” said the PCB chairman.
- He says it is to host the nation to decide about a neutral place.
- He added that the women’s cricket team will definitely be awarded.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also serving as Home Minister, made it clear on Saturday that the women’s national cricket team will not visit India for the 2025 Women’s World Cup played later this year.
His comments came after a few moments when Pakistan made the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier unbeaten with seven wickets in the 14th match of the tournament at the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground.
The PCB chairman visited the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) ground to appreciate the performance of the national women’s team.
Talking to reporters, the Chairman of the PCB made it clear that the national women’s team will not travel to India for the mega event according to the “Fusion Formula”, which is implemented earlier this year before the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy.
Naqvi said, “Pakistan will not travel to India because the formula has already been agreed.”
When investigating a neutral location for Pakistan’s matches in the World Cup, Naqvi said it depends on the host nation to make a decision, but emphasized that the national team will not travel to India.
For non -dependent people, Pakistan booked their place in the World Cup with an 87 -run command against Thailand on Thursday, before a perfect campaign was launched to get Bangladesh out of seven wickets before today.
Commenting on the performance of the team led by Fatima Sana, Naqvi termed it the result of unity and jointly that he would be rewarded for his talent.
Naqvi said, “When a team is jailed and plays like a unit, it will produce such results. They will definitely be rewarded. They deserve it.”
