
Pakistan women performed brilliantly in the low scoring match to register their third consecutive win in the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Monday as they defeated the West Indies by 65 runs.
The Pakistan Women’s Team set a target of 192 for the West Indies with the help of Sadra Amin’s 54 -run stand. The opening batsman Maniba Ali scored 33 off 60 balls, followed by Sadra Nawaz’s 23 and Aaliyah Riaz 20.
From the West Indies, Haley Mathews, Krishma Ram Hark, and Afi Fletcher sent three Pakistani batsmen to the pavilion, while Ashmani Manisar and Aaliyah Allen contested a skull.
However, West Indies batsmen failed to perform well in batting as they ended their innings with just 126 runs, top scorers Aaliyah Allen and Shabika Gajni, who managed to score 22 and 21 respectively.
Along with other bowlers, captain Sana played a vital role in ending the guest’s batting lineup. From Pakistan, Remin Shamim and Nishra Sindhu took two wickets, while Sadia Iqbal dismissed a batsman.
Amin has been given the Player of the Match title in which he has given his role to his role in convincing victory.
The victory has increased the chances of joining the green shirts in the mega event.
Prior to this victory, Pakistan also defeated Ireland and Scotland in the qualifier matches.
