Klossk’s wife, Barbara Kolkova, confirmed her husband’s death on Instagram on Monday.

“After a severe accident, my husband, my universe, my love, the father of our children and your friend Tomas Klok, abandoned us forever,” Kolkova wrote. “You all deserve to know what you were around. Please respect our privacy and sorrow with which we are still in catch.”
The NHL Alumni Association also issued a statement regarding tragic death.

“A defensive man, New York Rangers selected Tomas with 131st election in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft with his hometown of HC Slavia Praha after three seasons.
“We send deep condolences to Tomas’ friends, family and former colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.”
