Shadab Khan, deputy captain of Pakistan’s newly appointed T20, has expressed confidence in the squad’s young capabilities before the team’s departure for New Zealand.
Addressing a press conference before departing on Wednesday, Shadab confirmed his commitment to the leadership role and emphasized the energy that brought new players.
Shadab said, “I have been entrusted with an extra character, and I will do my best to perform well.” “There are many young players in the squad. The energy and positiveness of the youth is different. We have high expectations from the debuts, and we hope we will win.”
The Pakistan Cricket team left for Lahore via Dubai and is set to reach Christ Church for the T20 series of five matches starting March 16. The squad includes newcomers Abdul Sadd and Hassan Nawaz, both of whom have received the first call ups.
Meanwhile, New Zealand has announced a 15 -member squad for the series, which includes seven players from the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. All -rounder Michael Breswell will lead the team, senior spinners Ash Sodhi and Pacer Ben Sears are returning from the injury.
Kyle Jameson and Will overwick are ready to play the first three T20 ice, while pacer Matt Henry, a well -known wicket -taker in the Champions Trophy, will be included in the last two matches.
