United Nations – Former Hamas hostage Eli Sharbi went to the UN Security Council (UNSC) with his heartbreaking story and a simple request: “Now bring them all home.”
Sharbi has been free for less than six weeks, but at this time, he has already advocated the hostages and has talked to world leaders about the plight of Hamas in the hands of Hamas.
“On October 7, my paradise was attracted to hell,” Sharbi, which was taken from the pigeon Beiry, remembered. “The siren began, Hamas terrorists attacked and I turned away from my family, they never had to see again.”
Pigeon Beiye saw the worst of the October 7 massacre. According to him, more than 100 inhabitants were killed, and 30 were taken hostage during the attacks Israeli defense forces. The dead included Sharbi’s wife and two daughters. He only found out his murder when he returned from Gaza.

“Then I got home. They told me that my mother and sister were waiting for me. I said, ‘I got my wife and daughters.” And this was when I knew that the brother of Sharbi was also taken hostage but his body was still in Gaza.

When Sharbi was released on February 8 or with Levy and Ohd Ben Amy, the world saw the three people were surprised. At that time, Israeli President Ishaq Herzag had said that “what a crime against humanity seems.” President Donald Trump said these men “look like people who survived the Holocaust” and seemed to be “in a terrible situation”.
Sharbi told the council that when he returned to Israel after spending 491 days in Hamas imprisonment, it weighed only 44kg (97 pounds). He talked about the pain and how, through the beating of the stomach – in which a severe ribs were broken. He was hungry.
Sharbi testified that he was beaten only one day and would be forced to beg for extra food. This was the time when he told the Council where UN humanitarian aid was underway.

“I know that you often discuss humanitarian situation in Gaza. But I tell you as an eyewitness, I saw what had happened to this aid. Hamas stole it.” “I noticed that Hamas terrorists have marked the boxes with the UN and marked the tunnels with them. Dozens and dozens of boxes, through your governments, who torture you and kill my family.”
Many hostages who have returned say that Hamas will eat in front of them as a torture, never feeding the ashes.
“When you talk about humanitarian aid, remember:” Hamas eats like kings while the hostages are hungry, “Sharbi told the council. Hamas steals from ordinary citizens. Hamas helps to reach people who really need it.”

Sharbi also criticized the United Nations, the Red Cross and the world for his silence and inability.
“Where was the UN? Where was the Red Cross? Where was the world?” He asked.
Israeli UN ambassador Danny Denn echoed the point, saying that the Security Council “removed the hostages” and failed to mention that “humanitarian crimes Hamas is deliberately attacking the hostages.” Denon then accused the “entire UN system” of abandoning his responsibility and hostages.
