Since global leaders are transformed into the United Arab Emirates this week to eliminate strategies for climate reduction, Adani Power announced that it had launched the Green Ammonia combustion pilot project at its Mandra plant.
As part of the project, Adani Group said in a media release, a major private sector power plant, Mandra plant, a traditional coal -fired 330 MW unit boiler will help green ammonia.
Green ammonia is manufactured from green hydrogen, which is produced by electrolysis using renewable energy, will have a feed stock for boilers.
Since there is no carbon in ammonia, its combustion does not have carbon dioxide emissions, making it a long -term carbon neutral alternative to fossil fuel.
Adani Power has contributed with IHI and Cova Japan to assess the pilot supply and extension to other Adani Power Units and stations. Kava is active in energy -saving and energy -generating products, while IHI is a heavy industry company with ammonia firing technology.
In Japan, combustion tests on IHI facility have started with 20 % ammonia compound, which imitates Mandra Power Station equipment.
The Adani Group release said that “partners believe that after the economic equality between the two feed stocks, it will be very encouraging to implement the solution at the Mandra Power Station.
The Mahatkankashi project is conducted under the Japan India Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) agencies.
“Adani Power is fully committed to reducing its carbon impressions by adopting the latest technologies and active measures in our business value China. By pushing this vision, we have been happy to contribute with IHI and Kova to find its Mandra plant for Green Ammonia.” Director, Adani Power.
Separately, on Tuesday, the Adani Total Gas of the party announced the ‘Green Hydrogen Production and Milit Pilot Project’. Adani makes joint development in collaboration with the total gas, a leading energy and city gas distribution company, Adani Group and Cleanerjee.
As part of the project, Adani Total Gas will use the latest technologies to combine green hydrogen (GH2) for more than 4,000 residential and commercial consumers in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
GH2 is manufactured using water electrolysis with electricity generated by renewable energy. Hydrogen blend is less than carbon than burning gas, but it has the same heating capabilities.
According to the release of the media, the project will be given commission by the first quarter of 2024-25, and it depends on the regulatory approval that the percentage of green hydrogen will gradually increase by 8 % or more.
After successfully completing the pilot, hydrogen blended fuel will be provided step by step to large parts of other areas of the city and other licenses.
In particular, in January this year, the central government approved the National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to make India a global hub for the production, use and export of such technologies. The Green Hydrogen Mission will gradually reduce the dependence of industrial, transportation and energy sectors and the dependence on imported foam fuel between others.
2023 The UN Climate Change Conference or the UNFCC parties’ conference, commonly known as COP28, will be the 28th UN climate change conference, which will take place in Dubai from November 30 to December 12, 2023.
India, a developing country, is a Mahatkanakashi to develop by 2047, which is committed to the “Panchamarism” of a five -part in COP26, held in 2021. These include reaching 500 GW non -fossil power capacity, which has been reduced by half of the 450 energy requirements from renewable sources. Finally, India pledges pure zero emissions by 2070.
