Two people were killed and six others were injured after an armed student’s storm Florida State UniversityAuthorities confirmed the campus campus in Tallasi on Thursday.
Police said the gunman, who is a 20 -year -old FSU student, was shot by police on campus, was taken into custody, and was taken to a hospital.

At a press conference on Thursday, officials said there were nine victims yesterday: two people were killed, while six people and gunmen were admitted to the hospital.
In his initial update, Tallalahi Memorial Healthcare said he was first in “close harmony” with respondents and public safety officials.
“We will provide the update as soon as we are available to ensure the privacy of patients and ensure accurate information,” said TMH.
In the later updates, TMH told CBS News Miami that he had received six patients – one in critical condition and the other in serious condition. The hospital said that the condition of all patients was appropriate by four o’clock in the evening
Revil confirmed that the gunman was sent to the hospital for treatment of the injured.
The accused was the vice -child
Officials confirmed that not only was the current student in the suspected gunman FSU, but he was also the son of Lyon County’s Sheriff’s deputy.
According to Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeill, the 20 -year -old is the son of a deputy, saying his mother has been with the force for 18 years and was involved in the youth’s youth programs. The shooter also used his mother’s former service weapon – which is now a personal handgun – which was found at the scene.
“It’s not surprising for us that he has access to weapons,” said McNeill.

Multi -agency response to Tallasi
Several agencies, including the Leon County Sheriff’s office, have responded to the scene, which includes campus police and other Tallasi area agencies. Florida Government Ron Dysntis Said State law enforcement agencies were responding to the firing.
In addition, Florida’s Department of Law enforcement and FBI’s Jackson Well and Tallasi offices are on the scene.
The FBI said at a press conference on Thursday that the agency has set up a digital tipline to assist law enforcement agencies. If someone has any information, they can present their indications fbi.gov/fsushooting. The FBI also said it was ensuring that all resources be brought to the community.
Revil said he and other law enforcement officers who responded to the scene would try to stay open and transparent with the state attorney’s office to go under the “horrific event”.
FSU cancels all classes and university programs

“At this time, people already on the main campus should refrain from coming to Tallasi’s main campus,” the FSU said.
At a press conference on Thursday afternoon, FSU President Richard McCwalk added that all classes will be canceled on Friday and all university and campus programs will be canceled on Sunday. He added that the safety and welfare of FSU students and staff is their top priority, and that the school will present the site’s advice on the aid programs for every person and employees for working staff.
“It’s a deep emotional time, but we are all present to support each other,” said Mac Kilo. “… We’ll go through it together.”
McCwalk also said that the school is fully cooperating in the investigation and the FSU campus police have suggested that family members can go to the toll center to pick up their relatives, and that loved ones should call each other immediately.
FSU students in trauma
Ava Ernado, a FSU student who was in the class when a university warning was over, Described a horrible scene.
Arenado Arenado CBS News told Miami. “My teachers immediately started to stop the door … and then another student said that she would go home, so we all ran towards our cars.”
FSU student Black Leonard told CBS News Miami that he fired close to 30 bullets. Leonard said when she heard the firing and started running, she was about 400 feet away from the Student Union.
