On Wednesday, the government said 125 new projects have been taken to search for important minerals in the current financial year.
Critical and strategic minerals are high demand, and the demand is usually met due to imports. Critical minerals are used in various fields, including renewable energy, defense and agriculture.
“I’m glad to announce that in this financial year, we have taken 125 new projects to find important minerals,” Mines Secretary VL Kantha Rao said in a program in New Delhi.
Further, he said the government was encouraging 25 % of the discovery of important minerals by research agencies.
Recently, 24 minerals were notified as critical and strategic minerals by amending the mining principle.
India has pledged to gain the capacity of electric electricity installed in a total of 50 % from non -inferior sources by 2030.
